What you can expect when joining the team
As a Senior Technical Writer, your work will directly influence how healthcare professionals interact with our platform every day. You will create clear, user-focused documentation that helps our users navigate our software products. This role blends project management, technical writing, UX writing, information architecture, and localization. You take ownership of documentation quality and continuously look for ways to improve how we communicate with users.
Your daily life
In your day to day, you will be led to:
Produce and maintain high-quality documentation for software products;
Perform peer reviews and provide higher-level editorial guidance;
Leverage analytics and AI tools to improve content quality and to improve efficiency;
Facilitate user-feedback cycles and documentation quality audits to address knowledge gaps;
Collaborate closely with the product delivery teams and the UX team to document complex concepts;
Apply UX writing best practices to make user interactions clear, intuitive, and easy;
Influence and improve product usability through UX writing;
Demonstrate a clear understanding of localization practices;
Contribute to team processes to boost productivity and quality.
Job requirements
Your profile
7+ years of experience as a senior technical writer in software;
A university degree in English, translation, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
Experience in an Agile software environment;
Experience writing API documentation;
Impeccable English writing skills with a focus on lean writing;
Strong technical understanding and the ability to quickly analyze and grasp complex concepts and to translate these concepts into meaningful documentation;
Experience with information architecture and organizing documentation into business workflows;
Proven UX writing experience and deep understanding of UX workflows;
Experience with localization best practices and workflows;
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines;
Familiarity with AI tools for content analysis and optimization;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Knowledge of the following tools:
Zendesk;
Crowdin;
Figma;
Jira;
Experience in the software medical industry or any other regulated industries (an asset);
Experience with Zendesk analytics and support processes (an asset);
Since you'll be regularly creating documentation for English-speaking users located outside of Quebec, proficiency in French (spoken, written, and read) is an asset.
