What you can expect when joining the team 

As the Events Manager at Petal, you will report directly to the Director of Marketing and take charge of meticulously planning and executing marketing and sales related events, ensuring their seamless success from inception to completion. This position will involve close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams, external vendors, and partners, all united in the shared pursuit of creating more awareness around Petal’s products within the Healthcare industry.  

 

Your daily life 

During the day, you will be led to: 

  • Meticulously manage Marketing and Sales events (trade shows, conferences, webinars etc.) from conception to execution, thinking of every detail; 

  • Assess event proposals to determine their relevance in addressing our strategic business goals; 

  • Embrace creativity and originality to conceive innovative event ideas that set our brand apart and captivate our audience; 

  • In collaboration with other members of the Marketing team, lead and coordinate promotional activities to enhance event visibility and reach; 

  • Supervise and approve event materials and execution, ensuring they consistently uphold our brand standards; 

  • Engage in negotiations with vendors and partners to secure optimal representation and agreements; 

  • Select events that resonate with Petal’s value proposition and align with our business objectives; 

  • Plan and lead various meetings related to event projects, including production planning, pre-event consultations, and status updates; 

  • Continuously monitor deliverables, promptly identifying and resolving issues to ensure seamless event execution; 

  • Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative event analyses to extract valuable insights for future improvements; 

  • Efficiently manage sponsorship and partnership contracts and activities to boost brand visibility, recognition, and activation; 

  • Coordinate efforts with internal and external stakeholders including creative agencies, designers, content creators etc.; 

  • Manage the budget allocated to events and effectively measure key performance indicators (KPIs) or return on investment (ROI); 

  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring the highest quality of event concepts and execution for virtual, in-person, and hybrid events. 

Job requirements

Your profile 

Are you a dynamic and innovative professional, known for your capacity to think outside the box?   • Experience working in a B2B environment; 

  • At least 5 years of event management experience, or combination of marketing and event management; 

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; 

  • A proactive work style, demonstrating a keen sense of initiatives and problem-solving; 

  • Strong negotiation skills with prior experience in dealing with external vendors; 

  • Proven experience in working closely with internal sales teams; 

  • The ability to skillfully manage internal demands and addressing challenging requests; 

  • The ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks; 

  • Experience in analyzing data and building reports post-event, accurately measuring event ROI; 

  • A strong work ethic and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail; 

  • Hands-on experience in managing online events, including webinars and conferences; 

  • Experience working with online event platforms; 

  • The willingness and ability to travel occasionally for event-related responsibilities; 

  • A background or knowledge of the healthcare industry (asset); 

  • Experience working in a Software or Technology company (asset); 

  • Excellent English communication skills, French (an asset)
