What you can expect when joining the team
At the heart of the medical billing operations team outside OHIP, you will join a team of specialists. You will be involved in all the tasks of your team and will have complete responsibility for certain cases as well as being cross trained to assist other members of your team.
Your daily life
In your day to day, you will be required to:
- Ensure the reception and processing of OHIP medical claims with accuracy and speed;
- Assist other members of the team with administrative tasks when required;
- Assess claims upon processing to find missed errors;
- Review and respond to internal emails;
- Process and track third party claims;
- Send daily summaries of entered claims to applicable groups;
- Call Service Ontario to obtain correct version codes and billing numbers as well access the online birthdate correction system which may be most productive outside of normal business hours;
- Work occasionally on weekends at monthly cut off to adhere to deadlines.

Are you a detail-oriented, attentive and conscientious individual? Are you an autonomous and proactive person who enjoys working independently while still being a part of a bigger team working towards common goals? Are you looking for a friendly work environment and to integrate yourself into a great team? The sky is the limit! If you have:
- A diploma in office administration, technical administration, or a combination of relevant education and experience;
- OHIP billing experience is an asset but not required;
- Familiarity with web and mobile applications as well as ease with technology and computer tools (e.g., Outlook, Slack, Dropbox, etc.);
- The ability to manage priorities and handle stress that may arise during peak periods;
- A well-developed sense of responsibility and priorities;
- Incredible attention to detail as well as speed and accuracy with data entry;
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
