What you can expect when joining the team
As a Senior Product Designer and reporting to the Director of Product Design, you will join a growing team of UX/UI designers. In tandem with a Product Owner, you will work daily with the development teams to improve our products and infuse the user-centric approach into the company.
At a higher level, you will have the opportunity to discuss the strategic vision of our products with Product Managers and carry out UX research activities. You will be the user advocate, using user-centric methods (design thinking, user research, user testing etc.) to make the Petal experience consistent and useful for our customers and end users in the healthcare sector.
Your daily life
During the day, you will be led to:
Understand business and user issues in order to translate them into opportunities;
Work closely with all team members (Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Designers, Tech Writer and QA);
Design innovative solutions by getting all the stakeholders on board and justifying your choices;
Optimize the ergonomics and experience of existing interfaces taking into account technical constraints;
Orchestrate user tests to validate the correct understanding and/or use of the product;
Collaborate with developers to find the best possible and feasible solutions;
Make sure you maintain uniformity through the existing mechanics and visuals in the platform;
Validate the quality and respect of the UI and UX behaviors of the deliverables of the development teams;
Participate in the evolution and structuring of the Design System with other designers;
Make proposals to improve Design team processes and mentor junior designers.
Job requirements
Your profile
Are you an experienced product designer who wants to take on big challenges? Do you stand out for your confident and persuasive communication of your ideas? Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment? The sky is the limit! If you have:
+6 years of experience in product design;
A strong set of design skills (user research, usability principles, web and mobile design, user testing...);
Experience in a SaaS company;
Experience in mobile application;
Good leadership and a strong spirit of synthesis;
The ability to clearly and persuasively communicate the reasoning behind design decisions;
Experience within an Agile team;
Experience with software: Figma, Protopie (or other prototyping software) Usertesting (an asset).
