What you can expect when joining the team
Reporting to the Senior Director, Infrastructure, Devops and Security, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining highly scalable and available cloud platform architectures.
Your daily life
During the day, you will be led to :
Design and maintain highly scalable and available cloud platform architectures (66% Infra and 33% Dev) and Corporate IT (Infrastructure, Desktop), and perform activities related to conceptual and logical modelling, and design implementation;
Oversee the progress of the technology roadmap towards the target and participate in the transition from current architectures to the target architecture;
Contribute to working in small teams using Agile/DevOps methodology to keep pace with intensive business environments;
Evaluate new cloud technologies for suitability for inclusion in solution architecture, including POC implementation;
Work on business cases for technologies;
Promote the use of shared platforms, services and applications to reduce costs and increase overall performance;
Support the culture of development activities across multi-disciplinary teams focused on fully automated CI (continuous integration) and CD (continuous development) environments;
Work with the software development teams to maintain and define the products/software of today and tomorrow;
Ensure continuous evolution and resilience to scope changes.
Are you an experienced and motivated IT professional who enjoys discussing business issues as much as technical issues? Are you known for your proven analytical and problem-solving abilities? A DEC/BAC in computer science or equivalent;
15+ years of relevant work experience;
Strong working knowledge of public cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, Google);
A good working knowledge of cloud-based application architecture
General knowledge of container architecture, microservices, observability, desktop, infrastructure, etc;
General knowledge of data management, big data, RDB, NoSQL, ETL, analytics and BI;
Knowledge of identity, directory, authentication/authorization, single sign-on, access management, API enforcement, encryption, and data privacy;
Advanced knowledge of cloud storage, scalability and availability;
Strong experience in identifying and addressing non-functional requirements: response time, availability, disaster recovery, scalability, data retention, etc.;
Relevant experience in a product and software company to support Development;
A strong focus on security issues;
Excellent communication skills including documentation, visualization, presenting to a mixed/large audience, and balancing speaking and listening;
Excellent leadership skills including collaboration, accountability, results, self-motivation, big picture thinking, strong relationship building, and negotiation;
Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational and task management skills;
Bilingual French and English (asset).
